Fundraising 2017 - Challenges

In 2017 I will be continue to fundraise for MIND, the Mental Health Charity. Their support last year was pivotal in my journey and so I'm continuing the ridiculous challenges to raise awareness for those struggling to get through their days.. It's keeping my head well and reminding me that I am capable of doing much more than just trudging through each week.

So to kick the year off, I participated in R.E.D. January, (Run Every Day). This started my year with a good foundation before heading to Girona for a week's endurance cycle training. Amazing and hard work but was much needed, given the Velothon's planned so far.

At the moment, the 2017 diary of madness - looks a little something like this..

Unfortunately due to a broken shoulder and head injury I have been unable to complete 2 of these events. I have transferred my Gloucester City Marathon place to another MIND runner and I have downgraded my Birmingham Marathon place to a Half Marathon bib, to close the year. Many thanks for your donations and support.

TRIBE Ride for Love II - Stage 3 Munich to UK
Fundraising alongside the TRIBE team, raising money to help support those affected by Human Trafficking. Run for Love II is a 2000km duathlon from Sarajevo to London undertaken by members of the TRIBE community, with the aim of raising £1million to fight human trafficking. The trip is divided into four stages, with runners and riders able to join for as much or as little of the journey as they choose. I will be riding the 3rd stage with the team - covering 660 miles over 6 days from the 9th - 16th July
Info on fundraising for this event can be seen here

Other Cycling Events
Due to my recent crash on the TRIBE ride, I will not be able to participate in any events which were planned for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, who provided my Uncle Neu with palliative care last year. I will be aiming to get back out on my bike again soon

Please visit the Run or Ride pages for donations or visit my team page and split your donations between all or one of the charities of your choice xx
